MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WLWT) – A Middletown, Ohio man is facing charges after police said he was selling alcohol from his home without a liquor license.
Early Sunday, Middletown police executed a search warrant at 413 Clark Street as a result of a several month investigation of complaints involving illegal sales of alcohol, disturbances and drug offenses.
Police said there were about 50 people inside the house and numerous people standing in the back yard. Officers said they found numerous bottles of liquor and beer inside the bar in the kitchen, throughout the house and in the yard.
The home’s resident, Larry Little, was charged with illegal sales of liquor, three counts of sale of alcoholic beverages to an underage person and drug abuse. Three underage people were arrested, and several other people at the home were picked up on outstanding warrants, police said.
Little was operating the after-hours bar every Friday and Saturday night for the last two months.
“After the bars close that’s real convenient for that to be a little juke joint,” said neighbor Regina Griffis. “Every Friday and Saturday it was a circus right here.”
One neighbors said patrons would park all the way across the end of her dead-end street, making it impossible to get out.
