Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department conducts seatbelt patrol

WICHITA, Kansas – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office conducted a seatbelt enforcement patrol in Sedgwick County on Friday evening.

Between the hours of 6 and 10 p.m., 45 adults were cited for seatbelt violations, and one for improper child restraint.

Three were arrested for driving on a suspended license, one was arrested for warrants and one for drug charges.

Sixteen citations were written for other traffic violations.

The operation was funded by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
