Shooting in east Wichita leaves one injured

WICHITA, Kansas – One teen is in serious condition following a shooting in east Wichita early Saturday morning.

Police dispatchers tell KSN that officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 6400 block of East Lincoln just before 1 a.m. When they arrived, the 18-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the leg.

There was a suspect stopped on the scene, but no gun was found in the car. The victim did not want to talk to police. Police said he was shot in the 800 block of South Mission.

The 18-year-old was taken to Wesley Medical Center in serious condition.
