MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State’s men’s basketball game with Gonzaga in the Wichita Wildcat Classic at INTRUST Bank Arena will tip off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, December 21 and air nationally on ESPN2, Idol Sports and Entertainment and both universities announced on Friday.
Tickets for the Wichita Wildcat Classic are priced at $200 for courtside, $150 for lower-level VIP, $75 for lower-level midcourt, $35 for lower-level ends and upper-level midcourt, $20 for upper-level corners and $12 for upper-level ends. The courtside and lower-level VIP packages also include access to a pre-game lounge. All orders for the contest made through the Athletics Ticket Office prior to the August 2 season ticket renewal deadline will be seated in order of athletics department priority points. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, September 13.

Both schools are coming off impressive 2012-13 seasons with each winning their respective regular season conference title and advancing to the NCAA Tournament. K-State posted a 27-8 overall record and 14-4 mark in league play en route to its first-ever Big 12 regular season championship and a fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. Gonzaga, which earned its first-ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, recorded a 32-3 overall record and won the West Coast Conference (WCC) regular season title with a perfect 16-0 mark.
The Wichita Wildcat Classic will pit K-State and Gonzaga against each other for the fourth time, including the third in the last four seasons. The Wildcats are 2-1 all-time against the Bulldogs, winning 66-64 at home in the Postseason NIT on March 22, 1994 and 81-64 in the semifinals of the CBE Classic at the Sprint Center on November 22, 2010 before dropping a 68-52 decision in the State Farm Battle in Seattle at KeyArena on December 15, 2012.
This will be the Wildcats’ second game at the three-year-old INTRUST Bank Arena and the first since dropping a dramatic 85-80 double-overtime game to West Virginia before a sold-out crowd of 15,004 on Dec. 8, 2011.
K-State returns eight lettermen in 2013-14, including four players with starting experience, highlighted by All-Big 12 honorable mention selection Shane Southwell and fellow senior Will Spradling. Gonzaga returns nine lettermen and two starters, including All-WCC selection Kevin Pangos (11.9 ppg., 3.3 apg.) and All-WCC honorable mention pick Gary Bell, Jr. (9.0 ppg., 2.2 rpg.).
