Arrest made in theft from builders association

MANHATTAN, Kansas (AP) – Authorities have arrested an executive of the Flint Hills Area Builders Association after the association discovered more than $25,000 missing.

The Riley County Police Department announced Friday that the builders association contacted police Tuesday after discovering the missing money.

A 44-year-old man from Wamego was arrested on Wednesday and his home was searched. The Riley County Attorney’s office said Friday no charges have been filed yet in the case.
