Wingnuts win 12 in a row


SIOUX CITY, Iowa – – The Wichita Wingnuts winning streak reached 12 Tuesday night with a 12 to 5 victory over the Sioux City Explorers.

C. J. Ziegler’s two-run homer to left-center in the top of the first inning opened the scoring.

Ryan Scoles earned the win for Wichita, scattering seven hits and three earned runs in five innings.

After a day off Wednesday, the Wingnuts host the Lincoln Saltdogs Thursday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
