Wichita police asking for help to find driver of hit-and-run

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police and Crime Stoppers are asking for help in finding the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run that killed a Wichita man and his horse last Friday night.

After analyzing debris at the scene, investigators believe that car is a 2003 to 2005 model Mercury Grand Marquis.

The car was last seen northbound on Piatt near 21st Street after it hit 49-year old Lloyd Ferguson and a small child on horseback.

Anyone who’s seen a vehicle matching the description with front end damage should call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.

If your anonymous tip leads to an arrest, you receive an award of up to $1,000.
