EL PASCO COUNTY, Colorado – Incredible video of a mudslide near Colorado Springs was captured on video as the driver of this car is being swept away.

John Schroyer was driving on Highway 24 in El Pasco County Wednesday when a wall of water and mud swept his car down the highway.

He recorded the video from inside his car.

Schroyer says he was caught off guard because there was no sign the mud slide was coming .

A thunderstorm sent rocks, mud debris and running water onto the highway, leaving vehicles stuck or covered in mud.

The mudslide closed a four mile stretch of U.S. 24.

Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries.
