Copper stolen from utility station in northern Sedgwick County

WICHITA, Kansas – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department is searching for the suspects who stole over $5,000 worth of copper.

It happened between July 1st and July 8th.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department says the person or persons entered the utility station in the 6000 block of North 151st Street.

They cut a fence and locks off of five storage boxes.

Once in the storage boxes, the suspects took crimps, 100 one foot pieces of copper, binding clips and five fiber optic splicing boxes.

The loss is estimated at $5,490 with $750 in damages.
