CINCINNATI, Ohio (WLWT) – A mannequin set up alongside Interstate 75 in Cincinnati, Ohio is causing drivers to do a double-take.
A billboard placed atop a BMW billboard near the Glendale Milford Road exit has prompted many calls to 911 from drivers who fear it’s a real person who’s planning to jump.
“It’s a very good gimmick I guess for them, but i guess it causes a lot of concern for a lot of people,” said Alison Nahrup, who works nearby.
Dispatchers said they receive dozens of calls per week about the mannequin, who looks like an adolescent or child to many callers.
Authorities said they’re hoping the dealership will take down the mannequin, but he remains atop the sign.
A spokesman for Jake Sweeney BMW said the dealership had decided to take down the mannequin after hearing about the 911 calls it provoked.
