Wichita goes Nuts over Amarillo

WICHITA, Kansas – – A three-run homer by centerfielder Brent Clevlen in the first inning propelled the Wichita Wingnuts to an 11 to 4 victory over the Amarillo Sox Monday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Clevlen finished the game with four runs batted in.

John Rodriguez also drove in three with a homer in the second inning. C.J. Ziegler went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.

Junior Guerra pushed his record to 5-1 with the win.

The same two clubs continue the series Tuesday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. First pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
