Wichita held scoreless in Grand Prairie

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – – The Wichita Wingnuts were shutout by the Grand Prairie AirHogs Wednesday night.

Jared Mortensen picked up the win for Grand Prairie striking out 10 Wichita batters. Mortensen only walked one and gave up six hits and no runs in eight innings.

Junior Guerra was charged with the loss with three earned runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings pitchers. Guerra struck out six and allowed one walk.

Game three will be on Independence Day at 6:05 p.m. Wichita returns to Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on Saturday.
