DETROIT, Michigan (WDIV) – The hunt is on for nearly $10,000 in cash after a Los Angeles-based muralist claims to have left the money somewhere in Detroit.
According to David Choe’s Facebook page, it was during a short stop in Detroit on Sunday that he claims to have left $10,000 in cash hidden in the Motor City.
Why? Because Choe says he can.
Oliver Harfield said he will search for the alleged hidden cash.
“I think it’s a cool idea,” said Harfield. “I guess I’m going adventuring tomorrow.”
There were only a few clues posted online of where the hidden money may be.
Choe wrote on one of his posts, “There was money in that hole in that couch in Detroit earlier today, but who knows now.”
Choe claims the money is also mostly $1 bills and a few $100 bills, scattered in a city of over 138 square miles.
