Power still out to more than 3,000 in Sedgwick County

Power outages, electric, power lines, Westar EnergyWICHITA, Kansas – Utility companies are still working to get power restored to customers who lost electricity in Thursday night’s storm.

At one point, more than 23,000 customers were without power. That number has been reduced to 3397 as of Sunday night.

Westar Energy and utility crews from the surrounding area are working to replace power poles in lines that were knocked down in the storm, and hope to have service completely restored by Monday evening.
