HOUSTON, Texas (KPRC) – Investigators said drinking and driving may have played a role in a chase caught on camera in Houston, Texas early Thursday morning.

Police tried to pull a silver Mitsubishi because the driver was swerving. The driver refused to stop.

After chasing the driver for about ten minutes, police boxed the car in on Office City Drive and Berkley.

“He struck no other vehicles, but when we finally did get everything settled down there is quite a bite of beer in the vehicle,” said Sgt. Robert Gonzalez.

Police said they found at least a case of beer inside the car.

The car belonged to the passenger, according to Sargent Gonzalez.

According to investigators, the passenger urged the driver to stop the car during the chase, but the driver refused.
