WICHITA, Kansas — It was a drag race of a different sort in downtown Wichita on Saturday.

Teams of three slipped on heels no shorter than two inches and strutted the half mile or so from Douglas and St. Francis to Douglas and Central.

The race drew a big crowd as part of pride month.

The winners took home $250.
