Man stable after being shot in the leg in north Wichita

WICHITA, Kansas — A man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after he was shot in a fast food parking lot in north Wichita on Sunday, police said.

It happened just before 7 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot near Wendy’s near 21st and Amidon.

Sgt. Ed Brower of the Wichita Police Department said the victim was taken to Wesley Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The victim is now in stable condition.

The suspect is still at large.
