Wingnuts get complete game from Link

WICHITA, Kansas – – Jon Link pitched the Wichita Wingnuts first complete game in nearly two years in an 8 to 2 win over Gary SouthShore Monday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

A five-run seventh inning fuel the win for the Wingnuts. John Rodriguez drove in two with a double down the right field line. A couple of batters later Brett Clevlen, in his first game back with Wichita, launched a three-run homer over the left centerfield video board.

The two teams will meet in a day-night doubleheader on Tuesday. Both games will be nine innings of play. The opener starts at 11 a.m. with the nightcap scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m.
