Wingnuts are wild in loss to Gary

WICHITA, Kansas – – The Wichita Wingnuts allowed three ninth inning walks as the Gary SouthShore Rail Cats came from behind in a 7 to 6 win Tuesday afternoon in the first game of a day-night doubleheader at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Craig Maddox worked Wichita’s Josh Dew into to a bases loaded walk to tie the game at 6-all. Zac Mitchell lined a sacrifice fly to center field bring home Cristian Guerrero will the go-ahead run.

Clay Zavada picked up the win for Gary.

The teams finish the twinball at 7 p.m. at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
