Man critical after early morning crash in Sedgwick County

CLEARWATER, Kansas — A man was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries after crashing into a utility poll in rural Sedgwick County on Saturday, an emergency dispatcher said.

It happened just before 4 a.m. near the intersection of 71st Street South and 103rd Street West.

The 18-year-old man reportedly lost control his car, left the roadway and crashed into a utility poll.

He was transported to Saint Francis in critical condition.

The accident is under investigation.
