Deputies apprehend woman after police chase

WICHITA, Kansas – Sedgwick County sheriff’s deputies apprehended a 41-year-old woman after chasing a family on K-42.

It happened near K-42 and 263rd Street West last Wednesday night.

While enroute, dispatch told deputies that the woman was driving westbound on K-42 in a red Ford Escort.

Deputies found the Escort at the Viola convenience store where the woman began driving circles around the gas pumps.

Officials recognized the woman from a prior pursuit on May 29.

Deputies broke the window in her Escort to remove her from the car.

She was taken to Via Christi St. Joe for a medical evaluation.

Her car was impounded.
