WICHITA, Kansas – The Red Cross is providing some relief from the triple digit heat
They have a room full of big box fans ready to give away.
The extreme heat can be dangerous for anyone, especially for the elderly and young children.
The fans were purchased through donations from the public.
The Red Cross has seen an increasing demand for the free fans.
“They’re so thankful, you know, along with the fan, we provide information on how to protect yourself in the heat because heat emergencies can be very serious,” said Bev Morlan, Executive Director of the American Red Cross.
The free fans will be given away at the American Red Cross building at 1900 East Douglas from 8:30 to 2:30 through Thursday.
