PHOENIX, Arizona (KPNX) – A large scorpion caused a bit of a scare on the set of NBC affiliate KPNX in Phoenix, Arizona Thursday.

“Its got these big claws and it’s looking at me and just snapping right and left,” recalls weatherman James Quinones. “These claws were coming and you could just completely see the shadows. This thing was just moving along through the ground, and it’s like moving around. You could actually see the shadow of it in the corner. It was about that big. Men were screaming like girls.”

The crew was eventually able to capture the Emperor scorpion. It was taken to the Wildlife World Zoo.
