LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) – The widow of a storm chaser killed in Oklahoma says her husband lived a fairytale life to be able to chase the weather and that she felt like Cinderella for the 31 years she was married to him.

Funeral services for Tim Samaras and his son, Paul, were held Thursday in the Denver suburb of Littleton. They were killed May 31 when a powerful tornado near El Reno, Okla., turned on them as they were conducting research. Their colleague Carl Young was also killed.

Tim Samaras lived in Bennett and was one of the stars of the Discovery Channel’s “Storm Chasers.” Paul worked with his father as a videographer.

KMGH-TV in Denver reports Cathy Samaras called her husband her best friend, while their daughters called their brother selfless.
