Neighbors help catch copper thief

WICHITA, Kansas — Neighbors help catch a copper thief in northeast Wichita on Wednesday.

Police say the man broke into a vacant home on North Piatt and was living there for a few days as he stripped it of copper pipe.

After three days, neighbors got suspicious and called 911.

Officers say they caught him with receipt for copper recycling as well as a meth pipe and a machete.
