WICHITA, Kansas – A Kansas Department of Transportation project for bridge repairs on the 25th Street North bridge that crosses over I-235 begins today.

The bridge will be completely closed so the exit from southbound I-235 to 25th St., and the entrance ramp onto southbound I-235 from 25th St. will also close.

Traffic on northbound I-235 will be restricted to a single lane and the speed limit in the construction zone will be reduced to 50 m.p.h.

The project will not affect the northbound I-235 exit and entrance ramps.

The repairs include patching the bridge deck and overlaying a new driving surface.

Wildcat Concrete Services of Topeka is the contractor for the $59,857.50 project.
