WICHITA, Kansas — That Riverfest button is more valuable than you might think. You’ll need one to get into the food court area.
Several people contacted KSN saying they were turned away when they went to get lunch.
We contacted the Riverfest president and confirmed that has always been the rule. No button, no food court.
She says that they’ve put up signs around the food court so hopefully no one is caught off guard.
“Every adjustment takes a little while to get used to. We certainly hope that people see the value in a $5, or $3 for children, button and come out and enjoy not only the food court but everything that Riverfest has to offer,” said Mary Beth Jarvis, President & CEO Wichita Festivals Inc.
There are buttons for sale in the ticket booths if you want to get a bite to eat and don’t have one.
Jarvis says that the crowds were large over the weekend, a result of the good weather and the entertainment and events of this year’s Riverfest.
