Accidental shooting leaves man in serious condition

WICHITA, Kansas — A man is recovering in the hospital after being shot in the chest on Tuesday night in what police are calling an accidental shooting.

Police were called to a home in the 1500 block of N. Woodland at 10:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken by EMS to St. Francis in serious condition.

Officials say the man’s roommate accidentally shot the victim in the chest.

They are still investigating.
