WICHITA, Kansas — Wichita police shot a dog that was charging after insurance adjusters.

It happened in the 2600 block of North Green around 10:45 Tuesday morning.

Several adjusters were looking at a home when they were charged at least eight times by a dog.

They called 911, and an officer responded.

The officer tried to corral the dog, but it charged at least once.

The officer shot the dog, and it died.

Police want to remind Wichita residents to restrain their pets with fences or with a leash.
