Western Pacific Ocean (CNN) – A Chinese naval fleet carried out an attack and defense drill on the Western Pacific Ocean on Monday and Tuesday.

The fleet is comprised of missile destroyer Qingdao, missile frigate Linyi and supply ship Hongzehu, as well as two ship-borne helicopters. All the ships are from the North China Sea Fleet.

The fleet passed through the Miyako Strait at 13:30 Monday, and began its training in the Western Pacific Ocean at about 14:00.

The fleet first carried out a high-sea attack and defense training, including attacking warships and defending against airplanes and submarines.

The command center analyzed real-time battlefield information, and ordered warships to make attack preparations and organize effective defense.

On Tuesday morning, the fleet also carried out a self-searching and missile-attacking drill. The soldiers were required to adjust their tactical plans according to new threats in the sky and on the sea, and successfully completed the high-sea attack and defense training. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
