Wichita McDonald’s robbed a knifepoint

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police are investigating a robbery at the McDonald’s in the 1600 block of South Webb Road.

It happened around 9:50 p.m. Thursday.

Two workers say a black man in his late 30’s to early 40’s with a medium build walked in.

The first clerk says he demanded that she open the register.

“The suspect became impatient, ran around the counter, ran to the back where he confronted a second employee who was standing by an open safe. He drew the knife on that employee and was able to get a small amount of money,” said Lt. Doug Nolte, Wichita Police Department.

The suspect exited on the northwest side of the building.

Police have no surveillance videos of photos available yet.
