Kansas City, MO – The Kansas City Royals have optioned relief pitcher Kelvin Herrera to Triple-A and have recalled RHP Louis Coleman to take his place. Coleman will be in uniform for the Thursday game against the Angels.

Herrera leaves the Royals with a 4.87 ERA and has struggled to keep the ball inside the field of play this season, giving up eight home runs in 20 1/3 innings.
