Shockers earn Missouri Valley All-Sports Championship

ST. LOUIS, Missouri – – Wichita State won the 2012-13 Missouri Valley Conference all-sports championship announced Monday. It is the seventh time the Shockers won the crown in the last 10 years. Last season WSU finished second.

Wichita State took one of the top three slots in 14 of the 15 sports it sponsored. The Shockers won women’s basketball, women’s indoor track and field, women’s tennis and men’s golf.

Wichita State was followed by Illinois State with three championships, then it was Southern Illinois, Indiana State with Creighton rounding out the top five.
