Tornadoes, hail and high winds hit Kansas

WICHITA, Kansas (KSN) — Severe weather is affecting large parts of Kansas and has left some damage behind.

The storms started to heat up in the afternoon and by early evening, several funnels and tornadoes were spotted near Rozel in Pawnee County.

One home was damaged by the storms, seven miles west of Larned.  The home lost its roof and several walls. Both people inside the home were able to escape injury.

As the storm moved east, it caused tree damage and caused an abandoned trailer to blow over in Nickerson in Reno County.
