Wingnuts lose for first time this season


WICHITA, Kansas – – The Kansas City T-Bones beat the Wichita Wingnuts 5 to 4 Friday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Kansas City broke a 3-all tie in the seventh as Brandon Pearl slipped a single past the Wichita infield to score Felix Molina.

The teams traded runs in the ninth including C.J. Ziegler’s homer in the bottom of the frame but Wichita could not get any closer.

Aaron Meade picked up the victory allowing three runs over seven innings.

David Bennett was the loser in relief for the Wingnuts.
