Newton teacher arrested after refusing to leave school

NEWTON, Kansas — A Newton teacher was arrested when she refused to leave the high school Wednesday.

The police department says 45-year-old Eden Bloom is facing one count of trespassing and one count of drug possession.

A special education teacher at the high school, Bloom is free on bail.

Officials say no students were ever in danger.
