Sedgwick County Sheriff’s office cites many during seat belt patrol

WICHITA, Kansas — On Tuesday evening, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office conducted a seat belt enforcement patrol.

It happened between 6 p.m and 10 p.m.

During the patrol, 83 adults were cited for seatbelt violations, one for improper child restraint, one for DUI and three for warrants.

Twenty-seven citations were written for other traffic violations.

The operation consisted of one sergeant, five deputies and four reserve deputies.

It was funded by a Kansas Department of Transportation grant.
