Northeast Kansas woman killed in Osage County crash

OSAGE COUNTY, Kansas — A northeast Kansas woman was killed in a single vehicle crash Saturday night, Kansas Highway Patrol said.

A man and a woman, both in their 20s, were headed westbound on 125th Street just west of Wanamaker at about 11 p.m. when the driver lost control of the 2007 Nissan Murano, causing it to leave the roadway and hit a tree.

The passenger, 29-year-old Tasha Arketa, of Holton, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 20-year-old driver was transported to a Topeka hospital for injuries.
