Shockers eliminated in NCAA tennis tournament

The Wichita State tennis teams seasons came to an end Friday in the NCAA tournament.

The men’s squad dropped a 4 to 1 decision to Oklahoma in Norman. The Shockers took a 1 to nothing following wins by double teams Ilija Cuic and Erick Reyes as well as Guillermo Nicol and Tomislav Gregurovic.

The Sooners won all six singles matches for the win.

Wichita State ends the season with a record 17 wins and 7 losses.

The women’s team lost to Nebraska 5 to nothing Friday in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Cornhuskers took all six singles and three doubles matches.
