Wingnuts tee off on T-Bones

WICHITA, Kansas — The Wichita Wingnuts powered by an eight-run third inning beat the Kansas City T-Bones Wednesday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Jake Kahaulelio three-run homer to leftfield highlighted the frame.

Kristhiam Linares picked up the Wingnuts win, giving up one earned run in three innings of relief.

Wichita owns a 3-0 record in the exhibition schedule with a doubleheader scheduled Friday in Lincoln. Wichita will rematch against Kansas City in the first game and 6 p.m. followed by a contest against the host Lincoln Saltdogs around 8 p.m. The Wingnuts will play Winnipeg May 15 in Wichita to close out the pre-season schedule.

The Wingnuts first regular game will be May 16 hosting the Kansas City T-Bones at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
