Kids turn knowledge into action at McLean all-school egg drop

McLean Egg Drop

WICHITA, Kansas — Students at McLean Science and Technology Magnet Elementary School put their skills to use Friday.

The students created and tested devices designed to protect an egg from a 30 foot fall.

With help from the Wichita Fire Department teachers dropped the eggs from an aerial platform fire truck to see if the kids’ designs kept the delicate eggs from going splat.
