WICHITA, Kansas — A body found in a field in southeast Wichita Wednesday morning is 19-year-old Jordan Turner.

Jordan is a former South High School student and a football player.

Jordan’s dad, Frank, says his son had been missing for about a month and his family feared the worst.

“He had been gone for a while,” explains Frank. “I’m very thankful to the farmer for finding him and giving him back to me. Giving me the opportunity to bury him.”

Frank says his son had fallen in with what he calls a bad crowd and wonders why someone might want Jordan dead.

Jordan was a high level football player who had his sights set on playing in the NFL.

“Very strong possibility,” says Frank. “Very strong possibility.”

But since his son’s body was found, Frank says he’s just relieved he is slowly getting some answers after a month of waiting and wondering.

“He had been gone for a while. I’m very thankful to the farmer for finding him and giving him back to me. Giving me the opportunity to bury him.”
