TULSA, Oklahoma (AP) – A trace of snow has fallen in Tulsa – the latest snowfall of the season on record – and more is possible in northeastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas.
National Weather Service meteorologist Joe Sellers says Thursday’s snow did not accumulate and was mixed with rain. He says the snowfall breaks a record set on April 18, 1953, as the latest snowfall on record.
Sellers says 1 to 2 inches of snow is possible in far northeastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas during the night and could be enough to break tree limbs and cause power outages.
