Allen ties playoff series with Wichita

ALLEN, Texas – The Wichita Thunder lost for the first time in the 2013 playoffs as the Allen Americans took a 5 to 2 decision Tuesday night.

R.G. Flath and Nathan Lutz scored for Wichita and goaltender Torrie Jung lost for the first in the post-season.

There 52 penalties called in the contest with totaling 164 minutes in the penalty box.

The Thunder fell for the first time in 11 games including nine straight in the post-season.

The playoffs continue in Wichita this weekend. Game three of the best-of-seven Central Hockey League championship series will be starting at 7 p.m. Saturday while the fourth game will have a 5:05 p.m. opening faceoff.
