OSAWATOMIE, Kansas — Milburn Kelly III says the ashes of his father, Milburn Kelly, Jr., a Vietnam veteran, were stolen from his truck parked in front of his house overnight on April 23.

“Why would someone do that?”

Two rifles, a cleaning kit and a wallet were also missing.

Kelley thinks the thief took the box in the front passenger seat thinking it had ammo inside. Instead, it was his father.

“That was my best friend. That was my dad,” said Kelly. “You’re low. Lower than filth. They need to return him.”
