WICHITA, Kansas — What sounded like an explosion in Towne West mall turns out to be a confetti device.
Three juveniles are in custody for apparently setting off the device inside the shopping center around 4:30 Saturday afternoon.
Mall security reported hearing screams after the explosion. They took the juveniles into custody and called police.
Sergeant Jesse Boomer with the Wichita Police Department said the investigation will need to continue to decide if any charges will be filed.
