One killed in Marion County Crash

HERINGTON, Kansas — A two-vehicle accident in northeast Kansas left one man dead early Sunday morning.

A truck pulling a trailer was headed northbound on Highway 56, about seven miles south of Herington just after 3 a.m., when it crossed the center line and went into a ditch, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

When the driver steered the truck back onto the roadway, the attached trailer collided with a southbound Toyota pickup driven by Zachariah Antoszyk, 22, of Marion.

Antoszyk was rushed to Herington Municipal Hospital where he died a short time later.

The driver of the truck and trailer was not hurt.
