Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department conducts offender sweep

WICHITA, Kansas — The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday conducted an offender registration sweep.

Officers visited the homes of 572 offenders in Wichita.

During the sweep, deputies found that 38 offenders had either moved and not reported their new address, never lived at the address, or had given an address that did not exist.

Offenders that fail to register or give false or misleading information may be charged with felony non-compliance of offender registration.
