WICHITA, Kansas — Hundreds of residents are victims of a series of mailbox thefts at apartment complexes in northeast Wichita.

Over the last several days, three incidents have been reported at apartments on 37th Street North and Rock Road.

The latest happening at the Remington Apartments in the 7200 block.

Reports show that someone broke into the mailboxes in the commons area of the apartment complex.

“Honestly, it’s one of the most rude things I’ve ever heard because who steals other peoples mail?” said Cody Myking, a resident of the Remington Apartments.

Several letters were taken in the heist, but it’s not known what may be involved in the loss.

The theft follows a pair of similar incidents at Eagle Rock Village just blocks away.

On Sunday, police began looking for two men who broke into the mail room ransacking residents mail.

A resident saw the two suspects running from the scene.

They both left in a older red car.

If you have any information on either, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111 or 911.
