SOLOMON, Kansas — Firefighters rescued a man who fell into a water tower Tuesday in Solomon.

It happened around 1 p.m.

KSAL, our news partners in Salina, was on the scene as the rescue took place.

The tower was undergoing inspection when the accident happened.

KSAL says firefighters climbed the top of the tower, secured the victim and ended up lowering him down through a large pipe that would pump water into the tower.

The man wasn’t seriously injured.
